The Moroccan delegation taking part in this sporting event includes Oumaima Balouarath (-48 kg), gold medalist at the U23 world championship in Abu Dhabi, Meryem Mobarik (-51 kg), gold medalist at the world championship for the elite category, Hamza Rachid (-67 kg), and Abdelali Zahidi (-71 kg), gold medalist at the U23 World Championship in Abu Dhabi, said the Royal Moroccan Federation of kickboxing, Muaythai, savate and similar sports in a statement.
The Moroccan team also includes national coach, Lahcen Ouassou and national team coach, Khouya Jaouad.
The Birmingham edition is the 11th World Games which includes 30 disciplines, including Muaythai.
Originally scheduled to take place in 2021, the Games have been rescheduled for July 2022 as a result of the 2020 Summer Olympics postponement due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
