This free-access event, held in collaboration with the Majorelle Garden Foundation and the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication, under the patronage of HM King Mohammed VI, "aims to bring art closer to citizens," Akhannouch told the press.
He said, in this context, that this important initiative reflects the far-sighted vision of HM King Mohammed VI to restructure the museums, through mobilizing investment and creating great dynamism in this field, noting that the museums at the national level are open to their environment.
For his part, Youth, Culture and Communication Minister Mohamed Mehdi Bensaid stressed that this event aims to revive of the cultural field, especially after two years of forced interruption due to the repercussions of the COVID-19 pandemic.
He said that culture now plays an important social and economic role, explaining that the promotion of national culture is likely to create a cultural market in the fields of cinema, theater, museums and others.
For her part, Amor said that the Nights of Museums and Cultural Spaces "is a unique opportunity to enhance the Moroccan cultural heritage, especially by facilitating access to citizens to these spaces."
After highlighting the close relationship between culture and tourism, the Moroccan minister explained that 65% of tourists visit Morocco for cultural discovery, stressing the need to make this heritage known and to invest in the development of the tourist offer of the Kingdom.
In addition to the Head of Government and the two ministers, the event was attended by National Museums Foundation President Mehdi Qotbi, Rabat Mayor Asmaa Rhlalou and Jardin Majorelle Foundation President Madison Cox.
