Royal Navy Assists 105 Illegal Migrants, Mostly from Sub-Saharan Africa (Military Source)
Rabat - Coast guards of the Royal Navy operating in the Mediterranean Sea, have assisted, between June 17 and 20, 105 would-be migrants, mainly from sub-Saharan Africa, including 20 women and 11 minors, a military source said.
The rescued individuals, who were in distress on board makeshift boats, kayaks, and jet-skis, received first aid on board units of the Royal Navy, before being transported to the nearest ports of the Kingdom and handed over to the local Royal Gendarmerie for the usual procedures, the same source said.
