Morocco is represented at this meeting under the chairmanship of Italy and the vice-chairmanship of Norway and Mexico, by the Treasurer General of the Kingdom, Noureddine Bensouda, representing Minister of Economy and Finance, Nadia Fettah Alaoui.
In a statement to MAP on this occasion, Bensouda stressed that this ministerial meeting deals with an important topic, namely cooperation between African countries and member states of this international organization based in Paris.
The participation of the Senegalese President, Macky Sall, also chairman of the African Union, is part of this process to make the voice of Africa heard and to highlight the demands of the continent, especially in terms of strategic support for reforms, resource mobilization and opening of all markets as well as strengthening governance on a number of issues, explained Bensouda.
This meeting, he stressed, will be an opportunity to highlight the social policy conducted under the leadership of HM King Mohammed VI, particularly with regard to social protection and medical coverage, protection for retirement and loss of employment, as well as all matters related to environmental protection, noting that these policies are important to back Morocco in its economic and social development.
