MAP Director-General Meets with Directors of Confucius Institute at Mohammed V University

Rabat - The Director-General of Morocco's News Agency (MAP), Khalil Hachimi Idrissi met, Tuesday in Rabat, with Karima Yatribi and Li Ning, directors of the Confucius Institute at the Mohammed V University, as part of a courtesy visit to MAP.

During this meeting, Yatribi and Li gave Hachimi Idrissi an overview of the Confucius Institute of Rabat and the roles it plays in consolidating human and cultural exchanges between the Kingdom of Morocco and the People's Republic of China.

They also extended an invitation to MAP's Director-General to take part in the inauguration ceremony of the new headquarters of the Confucius Institute, scheduled on June 14.

Established in 2008, the Confucius Institute is the result of a partnership between the Mohammed V University and the Beijing University of International Studies. In 2012, the Institute launched the Chinese studies program.

Confucius Institute centers have been established at Ibn Tofail University in Kenitra, Ibn Zohr University in Agadir and Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdellah University in Fez.
