Morocco's participation in this tour is part of the celebration of World Bicycle Day (June 3). It is also part of the competition schedule of the national teams, set up by the Royal Moroccan Cycling Federation.
The national cycling squad includes Adil El Arbaoui, winner of the 2022 Grand Prix of Cotonou, Anas Aït El Abdia, Mounir Makhchoun, Lahcen Sabbahi, Nasreddine Maatoughi and Achraf Doghmi.
The 18th Tour of Cameroon will be held in eight stages and will see the participation of 60 athletes from 10 teams representing Morocco, France, Rwanda, Côte d'Ivoire, DR Congo, Nigeria, Burkina Faso, Senegal and Cameroon.
