Hajij received this distinction during an audience granted by President Mahamat Deby in recognition of her efforts to "promote Chadian sport and help realize the announcement of the Head of State for the revival of the sport in Chad," the Chadian presidency announced on its website.
Through its President, the Confederation of African Volleyball intends to play an important role in the renewal of Chadian sport, the presidency underlined, adding that Bouchra Hajij said she was confident that Chad will rewrite a new page in its sporting history.
In a statement to MAP, Hajij, who was recently re-elected as Vice-President of the Arab Volleyball Union, said that this audience was an opportunity to discuss the projects of the African Volleyball Confederation in Africa, particularly in Chad.
The efforts made by the Confederation of African Volleyball for the development of the sport in Chad and the support granted by the CAVB for the promotion of Volleyball were also at the center of the exchanges, she added.
