"The HCP is called more than ever to play the role of evaluation of public policies," he said, highlighting the Commission's recent achievements, marked in particular by major surveys aiming to see the evolution of households' standard of living and economic structures, in addition to the digitization process of different lines of production of surveys.
Welcoming the "prosperous" cooperation between Morocco and the EU, Llombart Cussac stressed the importance of strengthening this partnership in specific areas to achieve further progress.
The diplomat highlighted the need to accelerate the green transition, saying that it is a major objective of the Union. "The SDGs are also at the center of our agenda with Morocco," she said.
The EU is working on the budget support approach in public policies, Llombart Cussac went on, adding that "effective public policies are based on effective statistics."
The ambassador also expressed great interest in the analytical work of the HCP, particularly in the areas related to the labor market and economic participation of women.
