This meeting, held in the presence of representatives of the UN agency, was an opportunity to discuss the Morocco-UNIDO dense and diverse cooperation and to deepen the strategic partnership concluded in order for Morocco to position itself as a platform for technology transfer and strengthen its industrial capacity.
This meeting was also an opportunity to exchange and identify additional synergies between Morocco and UNIDO, in support of the government's industrial roadmap and covering a number of strategic sectors, including agribusiness, e-commerce, industry 4.0, circular economy, waste management, energy, industrial zones and South-South cooperation.
Speaking in a statement to the press after the talks, Müller said that Morocco is a long-standing partner, noting that since 1985, some 285 projects have been implemented in Morocco by UNIDO and international partners in collaboration with the Moroccan government.
He also said that two cooperation agreements in the field of energy will be signed between Morocco and the UN organization, welcoming in this regard the efforts of the Kingdom in green energy and sustainable development.
