WAFCON 2022: Morocco Drawn against Burkina Faso, Senegal and Uganda in Group A

Salé - Morocco has been drawn against Burkina Faso, Senegal and Uganda in 2022 Women's Africa Cup of Nations Group A, during a ceremony held on Friday at the Mohammed VI Football Complex in Maâmora (Rabat outskirts).

Moroccan Nawal El Moutawakel, Vice president of the International Olympic Committee, and Cameroonian football player Ajara Njoya participated in the ceremony and assisted CAF Competitions Director Samson Adamu with the draw.

The opening game of the TotalEnergies Women's Africa Cup of Nations, Morocco 2022, will oppose Morocco to Burkina Faso on July 02, 2022 (21 GMT) at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Sports Complex in Rabat.

Here follows the final groups' makeup:

Group A: Morocco - Burkina Faso - Senegal - Uganda

Group B: Cameroon - Zambia - Tunisia - Togo

Group C: Nigeria - South Africa - Burundi - Botswana.
