Signed by Minister of Equipment and Water, Nizar Baraka, Minister Delegate to the Minister of Economy and Finance in charge of the Budget, Faouzi Lakjaa, Director General of the National Agency for Public Facilities, Zineb Benmoussa, and President of the FNM, Mehdi Qotbi, this agreement aims to provide Rabat, "city of light, capital of culture", with a museum complex dedicated to culture, the largest on the continent.
The cultural facility will be adjacent to the Mohammed VI Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art (MMVI) and will house the Museum of the Continent, which will bring together African art in all its diversity, the Rabat Museum and the Pan-African training center, dedicated to the professions of conservation and restoration.
The complex will communicate through an underground passage with the MMVI, which will be, henceforth, entirely devoted to modern and contemporary art with a permanent room dedicated to Moroccan painting and its history, concluded the statement.
