In a statement, the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) said it received, in the person of its president, Fouzi Lekjaa, a message of congratulations from the CAF president, Patrice Motsepe, in which he praised the tremendous work done by Morocco under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.
Motsepe also shared his optimism about the ability of the Atlas Lions to represent Africa with dignity, assuring that the CAF will put all its means at the disposal of the Moroccan team and the other selections that will represent the continent to prepare well for this World Cup.
The national team will face Belgium, Croatia and Canada in the first round of the World Cup, to be held from November 21 to December 18, 2022, in Qatar.
