This event is sponsored by the Ministry of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development, in partnership with the Regional Investment Center of the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima region and United Cities and Local Governments of Africa (UCLG Africa).
According to an organizers' statement, this exhibition aims to contribute to Morocco's collective effort to implement a sustainable development model driven by the strategic guidelines of HM King Mohammed VI and by the Kingdom's international commitments.
The first edition will concern several themes related to waste management, including its institutional framework, regulations, financing, territorial policies, circular economy, opportunities for recycling domestic and industrial waste, industry decarbonization, optimization of industrial processes for less waste, new green technologies, as well as training, research and development.
Switzerland, a pioneer country in sustainable development issues and, more particularly, waste management and recovery, will be represented by public and private institutions, including the Federal Office for the Environment, Geneva Environment Networks and Service Agenda 21 - Sustainable City.
RWM Expo 2022 will allow participants to learn about the government's sectoral efforts, the evolution of technologies and best practices in these areas, as well as the prospects for the development and creation of green jobs.
