Speaking at a meeting on the management and development of cultural heritage, Bensaid emphasized the efforts made by the Department of Culture and various partners and stakeholders for decades, to identify, preserve, protect, enhance and integrate the national heritage in development efforts.
This aims to "to achieve human development and social and spatial cohesion, and strengthen the cultural influence of the Kingdom," said the minister.
These efforts, he added, have been strengthened in recent decades through local and regional interventions integrated at the level of the ancient cities of the Kingdom, accompanying the enlightened vision of HM King Mohammed VI in this area.
He also highlighted the participatory approach adopted by the Ministry of Culture and aimed at implementing plans and strategies in the field of cultural heritage, including strengthening the partnership with the Regional Councils, in accordance with the vision of the New Development Model.
