Morocco Ready to Host World Bank and IMF Annual Meetings (Minister)

Dubai - Morocco is ready to host the annual meetings of the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund (IMF), said Minister of Economy and Finance, Nadia Fettah Alaoui.

During her talks, Wednesday in Dubai, with Managing Director of the IMF, Kristalina Georgieva, the Moroccan Minister welcomed her to Morocco for the organization of the meetings, scheduled in Marrakech in October 2023.

These talks took place on the sidelines of the participation of both officials in a high-level session, as part of the first Regional Climate Week held under the theme "The challenges of adaptation to climate change in the Middle East and North Africa 2022".

The Kingdom of Morocco, the World Bank Group and the IMF had announced in November 2020 the postponement of the annual meetings due to the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic.
