Spain's announcement of its support for the Moroccan autonomy plan as the most serious, realistic and credible basis for the settlement of the artificial dispute over the Moroccan Sahara is a "major turning point", the Foundation pointed out in a release.

The Foundation voiced the hope that this stance would constitute a new start towards building a distinguished stage of cooperative relations between Morocco and Spain, based on trust, clarity, responsibility, transparency, balance and mutual respect for the supreme interests and vital issues of both countries, in particular the issue of territorial integrity.

In addition, the Foundation praised and expressed its pride in HM the King's ongoing efforts and his enlightened wisdom in defending the Kingdom's territorial integrity, which has always been Morocco's first cause and the object of unwavering unanimity, and which constitutes a clear expression of modern Moroccan patriotism, representing the compass that guides the country, in the service of its supreme interests.
