36th Edition of Marathon des Sables Kicks Off

Timgaline (Province of Tinghir) - The 36th edition of the Marathon des Sables (MdS), a trail of 250 km divided into 6 stages, kicked off Sunday in Timgaline, in the province of Tinghir, with the participation of 952 runners.

Placed under the High Patronage of HM King Mohammed VI, the Marathon des Sables (MDS) runs through April 4th, 2022.

This new edition brings together runners from 50 countries.

The first stage of this event will connect Timgaline to Aguenoun N'Oumerhiout over a distance of 30.3 km.

The MdS is a foot race, open to runners and walkers, with several stages, over a distance of about 250 Km.
