This workshop is part of the implementation of the "Support and assistance program for the regions for the implementation of the internal audit function", subject of a partnership agreement between the General Directorate of territorial communities, the Association of Regions of Morocco, and the French Development Agency (AFD), according to a press release from the Guelmim Oued-Noun region.

The meeting, marked by the participation of the administrative staff of the Council of the region and representatives of the relevant external services, aims to sensitize the regional administration as to the importance of internal audit and its role in reducing risks within the regional administration, as well as in building the skills of employees in this regard.

The workshop was chaired by the first Deputy-President of the council of the Guelmim Oued-Noun region, who highlighted the expectations of the region from the "Support and assistance program for the regions for the implementation of the internal audit function".

For his part, the representative of the consulting firm in charge of the "Support and assistance program for the regions for the implementation of the internal audit function", presented a risk map relating to the general management of services within the Guelmim Oued-Noun region, noting that this map is the result of a field study carried out at the level of the administration of the region, which showed the strengths and weaknesses at the level of the structures of this administration, as well as the various existing and potential risks.
