In a speech read on his behalf, by the Secretary General of the Ministry, Mohamed Khalfaoui, at the opening of an international symposium, Miraoui said he was convinced that "we can together manage to contribute effectively in turning this Chair into a scientific body of reference in Hebrew law and highlight its role as a fundamental component of Moroccan law."
The minister also welcomed the organization of this remarkable scientific event, while highlighting the specificities of the Kingdom as a centuries-old State and a land of intermingling civilizations.
He highlighted this plural identity, enshrined in the Constitution, which recognizes the Hebrew culture as an inseparable component of this rich and diverse identity.
Today Morocco, in accordance with HM King Mohammed VI's High Instructions, plays an important role as an actor in the inter-civilizational dialogue and bridge between the West and the East, while working tirelessly to establish dialogue, tolerance and respect for difference as key values to ensure a climate of peace and stability at national, regional and international levels, he stressed.
It is on these values that the New Development Model has worked in depth to design the basis of the new development ambition of Morocco by 2035, he added.
This two-day international symposium is organized jointly by the Center for Studies and Research in Hebrew Law in Morocco, the Konrad Adenauer Foundation, the Essaouira-Mogador Association, Bayt Dakira and the Sephardic Federation of Canada.
