According to a statement by the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF), the lifting of this sanction follows the request for appeal that it filed about the suspension imposed on the two players, after the events that marred Morocco-Egypt game in the quarterfinals of CAN 2021 in Cameroon.
Thanks to the cancellation of this suspension, Boufal and Chakla can play during the double confrontation against DR Congo, as part of the qualifying playoff for the 2022 World Cup.
The first leg will be played on March 25 at the Martyres Stadium in Kinshasa at 16:00 (GMT+1), while the second leg is scheduled four days later (March 29) at the Mohammed V Complex in Casablanca at 20:30 (GMT+1).
