"SALAM LEKOULAM" specifies, in a statement, that its name is composed of two words from the two religions (Islam and Judaism), which symbolizes the Moroccan identity.
"Muslims and Jews of Morocco, Israel, France and the world are keen to establish a link of identity, a fraternal and solidary link, similar to a spider's web, to build the future together", underlines the association, whose Honorary President is Andre Azoulay, Advisor to HM the King.
"Morocco needs all its children and we all need Morocco," says the same source.
The association's main objectives are to make a common voice heard on the major challenges that arise here and elsewhere and to fight together against racism, anti-Semitism, Islamophobia and stigmatization, to communicate and to influence each other with honesty on the current events and challenges of the societies in which we live.
It is also meant "to dialogue, exchange and question the major issues of society, with always the concern to seek the voice of the middle ground, to live our common culture and enrich it constantly, through artistic, social, sports, humanitarian activities (…) and to offer our common melting pot: Morocco, opportunities for the future," according to the same source.
