During an online meeting, FRMBB and IBBA Presidents, Mustapha Aourach and Amiram Halevi respectively, shared their wishes and objectives to turn this cooperation into a model of hope for world nations, aiming to strengthen Basketball as well as its great values, said an FRMBB statement.
Aourach and Halevi, together with both bodies' Secretaries General, Amjed Tahbouch and Yaakov Ben Shoshan, and other members, have agreed to meet in March to celebrate this event that will link the two countries with a friendly match between the two countries' national teams as a crowning achievement, the same source added.
This event will be attended by international sports bodies representatives and the presidents of the African Basketball Federation and the International basketball federation.
The architect and official representative of this cooperation, Lea Benchetrit, moved the assembly at the opening of the session by thanking His Majesty King Mohammed VI for having opened rapprochement ways allowing for the consolidation of the secular and fraternal ties between the two peoples, the federal body said.
This rapprochement also offers "a prosperous future for our present and future generations," the statement added. Benchetrit also "thanked the Almighty for giving us the privilege to accompany the achievement of this beneficial cooperation to both great nations, the Kingdom of Morocco and Israel," the statement concluded.
