2022 World Cup Shotgun in Morocco Cancelled Due to COVID-19 (Shooting Sports Federation)

Rabat - The Royal Moroccan Shooting Sports Federation (FRMTS) has announced that the 2022 World Cup Shotgun, scheduled to take place in Rabat next February, has been canceled in compliance with the measures taken by the Moroccan government to fight against the spread of Omicron variant.

This decision was also taken "because of the impossibility of organizing this international event given the decision to suspend flights," said the FRMTS in a statement.

The decision to cancel this event "was welcomed by the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) given the need to take into account the changing global health conditions imposed by the pandemic," the Federation pointed out.

"It will be agreed later on another date to organize the event in better conditions, especially since it coincides with the African Shooting Sport Championship", according to the same source.
