In his opening remarks at this online conference under the theme "Morocco-Nigeria: Enhancing opportunities for your business", the president of ASMEX, Hassan Sentissi El Idrissi, stressed that investment opportunities exist everywhere, particularly through the AfCFTA, which aims to strengthen trade between the countries of the continent in general and trade between Morocco and Nigeria in particular.
Quoted in an ASMEX press release, Sentissi El Idrissi noted that Nigeria is one of the largest economic markets in Africa with which Morocco is involved with in several important projects.
Trade and exchange of experiences between Morocco and Nigeria must be carried out regularly tp enable the continent to advance and to enhance the South-South cooperation, he added.
For his part, Moha Ouali Tagma, Morocco's ambassador to Nigeria recalled the visit of HM King Mohammed VI to Nigeria in 2016 and the visit of His Excellency Muhammadu Buhari to Morocco in 2018, which marked a historic moment in the relations between the two countries, giving a new boost to South-South cooperation and to trade and economic cooperation between the two countries.
He also pointed out that among the agreements signed, there is the gas pipeline, adding that the AfCFTA is expected to "facilitate the free movement of goods and services and strengthen the exchange of expertise."
