In a statement issued on the occasion of the International Day of People with Disability, celebrated on December 3 of each year, the INDH stressed that it has been constantly mobilized, since its launch in 2005 by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, for the dignity of people with special needs, thus helping to promote their integration into society.
Thus, through the Program of support for people in precarious situations, the INDH has implemented many projects for the care of disabled people without resources in specialized centers, spread throughout the national territory, said the same source.
Since September 2018, which marks the launch of phase III of the INDH, the services provided by these centers have been significantly improved in order to best meet the care needs of the beneficiary population in dignified conditions.
The INDH has, in this regard, activated 3 main levers, namely the development and deployment of a new approach for the management of centers, more adapted to the requirements of performance, pooling of resources and respect for the environment, the establishment of quality standards in construction and maintenance of buildings and equipment in order to ensure the proper functioning of centers and, consequently, their sustainability, in addition to strengthening the capacities of the staff of the specialized centers through training that emphasizes the skills necessary for the professional supervision of people in precarious situations, particularly those with special needs.
In addition, added the statement, since the effective start of the third phase in 2019, the INDH has led 1066 projects and actions, and implemented an investment of 462 million dirhams that has benefited more than 150,000 people over the past three years, spread throughout the national territory.
