These talks were an opportunity for both sides to highlight the means to enhance cooperation between the ministry and UN Women on employment and women's empowerment, the ministry said in a statement.
Ms. Rhioui presented, during this meeting, the main programs and axes of cooperation between the Moroccan government and the United Nations system in terms of institutionalization of gender and women’s empowerment, noting in this regard the main measures adopted to implement this program, according to the same source.
She underlined that the ministry of Economic Inclusion, Small Business, Employment and Skills is a fundamental axis in the work of the United Nations system which concerns women, welcoming the partnership between the two sides.
For his part, Mr. Sekkouri explained the various strategies of government programs related to his department, noting that the work of women, whether salaried or non-salaried, is considered among the priorities of the government.
He also noted that the government has put in place a roadmap for structuring programs in the sector of employment and business creation, adding that these are important programs that require the convergence of public policies.
On this occasion, the minister presented an overview of the various projects relating to economic and social development launched, stressing that these projects will have a positive impact in terms of employment and business creation.
The ministry of Economic Inclusion, Small Business, Employment and Skills is working to support women's empowerment and make them benefit from these programs, Sekkouri said.
