During this meeting, Jazouli and Riester reaffirmed their willingness to work together, especially in promoting foreign direct investment (FDI), recalling, in this sense, that France is in 1st place of incoming FDI in Morocco and is among the main trading partners of the Kingdom.
After recalling that investment is at the heart of the new development model (NMD) as desired by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Jazouli stressed that France is the 2nd economic partner of the Kingdom and that more than 1,000 French companies are currently established in Morocco, with major industrial partnerships especially in the automotive and aerospace sectors.
This meeting was also an opportunity for both parties to review the state of bilateral relations between Morocco and France and more particularly the economic dimension.
It is part of Riester's official visit to Morocco on November 22-23, 2021, during which he met with several officials and representatives of the public and private sectors.
