President Biden expresses in the message, on behalf of the American people, his congratulations to the Sovereign and to the Moroccan people.
"The United States-Moroccan relationship is longstanding. Our 235-year partnership, beginning with the signing of the United States-Morocco Treaty of Peace and Friendship in 1786, has proven time and again the importance and value of mutual respect and cooperation," the US President points out.
"I was pleased to learn about the recent bicentennial commemoration of our Legation in Tangier as an example of our enduring diplomatic relationship," Mr Biden adds.
"We look forward to deepening our shared commitments, investing in mutual prosperity, and building upon the steadfast partnership. Our common interest in peace, security and stability in North Africa provides a strong foundation for continued collaboration and engagement," the US President underlines.
"Today, we join the Kingdom of Morocco in celebrating its independence," President Biden concludes.
