A total of 24,373,815 people have received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine in Morocco, the number of fully vaccinated people (1st and 2nd doses) has reached 22,460,518, while a total of 1,586,991 people have received the third dose, the ministry pointed out in its daily COVID-19 bulletin.
The total number of COVID-19 cases reported since the start of the outbreak of the virus stands at 948,391, while recoveries rise to 930,379, i.e. a recovery rate of 98.1%.
The new COVID-19 cases were reported in the regions of Casablanca-Settat (59), Rabat-Salé-Kenitra (37), Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima (5), Eastern Region (6), Marrakech-Safi (4), Beni Mellal-Khenifra (3), Fez-Meknes (2), Souss-Massa (1), Draa-Tafilalet (1), Dakhla-Oued Eddahab (1) and Laayoune-Sakia El Hamra (1).
As for coronavirus-related fatalities, they rose to 14,747 (fatality rate of 1.6%) with one new death reported over the past 24 hours in the region of Guelmim-Oued Noun.
The number of active cases stands at 3,265, including 118 people in a critical or severe condition, the ministry said.
