A total of 24,367,790 people have received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine in Morocco, the number of fully vaccinated people (1st and 2nd doses) has reached 22,428,512, while a total of 1,579,478 people have received the third dose, the ministry pointed out in its daily COVID-19 bulletin.

The total number of COVID-19 cases reported since the start of the outbreak of the virus stands at 948,271, while recoveries rise to 930,236, i.e. a recovery rate of 98.1%.

The new COVID-19 cases were reported in the regions of Casablanca-Settat (17), Rabat-Salé-Kenitra (16), Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima (1), Eastern Region (4), Souss-Massa (2), Fez-Meknes (1), Beni Milal- Kenifra (3) and Draa-Tafilalt (1)

As for coronavirus-related fatalities, they rose to 14,743 (fatality rate of 1.6%) with 3 new deaths reported over the past 24 hours in the regions of Casablanca-Settat (2) and Fez-Meknes (1).

The number of active cases stands at 3,289, including 120 people in a critical or severe condition, the ministry said.
