A total of 24,360,793 people have received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine in Morocco, the number of fully vaccinated people (1st and 2nd doses) has reached 22,393,250, while a total of 1,571,072 people have received the third dose, the ministry pointed out in its daily COVID-19 bulletin.
The total number of COVID-19 cases reported since the start of the outbreak of the virus stands at 948,226, while recoveries rise to 930,012, i.e. a recovery rate of 98.1%.
The new COVID-19 cases were reported in the regions of Casablanca-Settat (30), Rabat-Salé-Kenitra (22), Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima (7), Eastern Region (4), Souss-Massa (2), Marrakech-Safi (1), Dakhla-Oued Eddahab (1), Laayoune-Sakia El Hamra (1) and Fez-Meknes (1).
As for coronavirus-related fatalities, they rose to 14,743 (fatality rate of 1.6%) with 3 new deaths reported over the past 24 hours in the regions of Casablanca-Settat (2) and Fez-Meknes (1).
The number of active cases stands at 3,471, including 119 people in a critical or severe condition, the ministry said.
