A total of 24,357,974 people have received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine in Morocco, the number of fully vaccinated people (1st and 2nd doses) has reached 22,378,658, while a total of 1,568,673 people have received the third dose, the ministry pointed out in its daily COVID-19 bulletin.
The total number of COVID-19 cases reported since the start of the outbreak of the virus stands at 948,025, while recoveries rise to 929,775, i.e. a recovery rate of 98.1%.
The new COVID-19 cases were reported in the regions of Casablanca-Settat (58), Rabat-Salé-Kenitra (45), Souss-Massa (07), Fez-Meknes (05), Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima (05), Marrakech-Safi (02) and Eastern Region (01).
As for coronavirus-related fatalities, they rose to 14.737 (fatality rate of 1.6%) with 3 new deaths reported over the past 24 hours in the regions of Casablanca-Settat, Rabat-Salé-Kenitra and Fez-Meknes.
The number of active cases stands at 3,513, including 130 people in a critical or severe condition, the ministry said.
