This budget is divided along human resources, strengthening of the health system, planning, programming, coordination and support for the missions of this system, as well as that of reproductive, maternal and child health, in addition to health of young people and people with specific needs, said Ait Taleb in his presentation of the sectorial draft budget of the ministry for the 2022 financial year before the Committee of Social Sectors at the House of Representatives (lower house).
It also involves epidemiological surveillance, health monitoring and safety, disease prevention and control, as well as primary and hospital care measures and services, in addition to reinforcing, developing and preserving basic health facilities, the minister added.
According to him, the improvement in the management of financial resources is accompanied by measures focusing mainly on strengthening the regional dimension in the areas of health and project monitoring mechanisms, as well as on the adoption of a new approach to create a regulatory framework relating to pharmaceutical contracts to improve the supply and strengthen the maintenance of equipment and devices through the use of an information system.
In addition, Mr. Ait Taleb underlined that the 2022 action plan is essentially based on the implementation of the project of the generalization of social protection through the generalization of compulsory health insurance (AMO) in 2022 and family allowances in 2024, the broadening of the base of pension plan members in 2025, as well as the generalization of the indemnity for job loss in 2025.
This action plan also includes the reform of the health system through the qualification of human resources, the use of an integrated information system, the improvement of the health supply and the creation of management and governance bodies, he said.
Mr. Ait Taleb underlined that the ministry plans to continue strengthening national health and disease control programs and adopt a strategy for managing crises and health emergencies through the continuation of the vaccination process to achieve collective immunity and maintain the epidemic vigilance and response plan.
