A total of 24,312,875 people have received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine in Morocco, while the number of fully vaccinated people (1st and 2nd doses) has reached 22,256,697, the ministry pointed out in its daily COVID-19 bulletin
According to the same source, 89 new COVID-19 cases and 196 recoveries were recorded in Morocco over the past 24 hours.
The total number of COVID-19 cases reported since the start of the outbreak of the virus stands at 947,396 while recoveries rise to 928,641, i.e. a recovery rate of 98%.
The new COVID-19 cases were reported in the regions of Rabat-Salé-Kenitra (46), Casablanca-Settat (24), Dakhla-Oued Eddahab (04), Marrakech-Safi (04), Fez-Meknes (03), Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima (03), Eastern Region (03), Souss-Massa (01) and Guelmim-Oued Noun (01).
As for coronavirus-related fatalities, they rose to 14.713 (fatality rate of 1.6%) with 7 new deaths reported over the past 24 hours in the regions of Rabat-Salé-Kenitra (05), Casablanca-Settat (01) and Fez-Meknes (01).
The number of active cases stands at 4,042, including 204 people in a critical or severe condition, the ministry said.
