One of the founders of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs after independence, the late enjoyed a rich diplomatic career, including Morocco's ambassador to the United Nations.

Born in Meknes where he became involved in political action at a very early age, he completed his schooling at Lycée Poeynirau before joining the first batch of Moroccan students at the Paris Institute of Political Studies, Sciences Po.

A former minister of information and ambassador to several African countries, Ahmed Snoussi witnessed many political and diplomatic events in post-independence Morocco.
