Mohammed El Morabity, Aziza Raji Win Second Stage of Marathon des Sables

Kourci Dial Zaid - Mohammed El Morabity stole the show from his older brother, Rachid, and won on Monday the second stage of the Marathon des Sables in the men's race, while Aziza Raji confirmed her domination in the women's competition.

Mohammed El Morabity won this stage between Tisserdimine and Kourci Dial Zaid over a distance of 32.5 km, with a time of 03h04min30sec, followed by his brother Rachid at 03h10min38sec. Aziz Yachou completes the podium with 03h10min40sec.

In the women's contest, the Moroccan Aziza Raji confirmed her domination of the day before by winning her 2nd stage with a time of 04h34min01sec ahead of her compatriot Hassna Hamdouch (4h37min51sec) and the French Aicha Omrani with 4h56min13sec.

The 3rd stage will connect Tuesday Kourci Dial Zaid to Jebel El Mraier on a route of 37.1 km.
