A total of 22,309,639 people have received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine in Morocco, while the number of fully vaccinated people (1st and 2nd doses) has reached 18,790,222, the ministry pointed out in its daily COVID-19 bulletin.
The total number of COVID-19 cases reported since the start of the outbreak of the virus stands at 930,891, while recoveries rise to 902,778, i.e. a recovery rate of 97%.
The new COVID-19 cases were reported in the regions of Casablanca-Settat (527), Rabat-Sale-Kenitra (302), Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima (98), Eastern Region (90), Fez-Meknes (39), Beni Mellal-Khenifra (37), Marrakech-Safi (33), Dakhla-Oued Eddahab (22), Laayoune-Sakia El Hamra (16), Daraa-Tafilalet (12), Guelmim-Oued Noun (10) and Souss-Massa (06).
As for coronavirus-related deaths, they rose to 14,225 with 26 fatalities reported over the past 24 hours in the regions of Rabat-Sale-Kenitra (06), Casablanca-Settat (05), Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima (03), Marrakech-Safi (03), Eastern Region (02), Fez-Meknes (02), Laayoune-Sakia El Hamra (02), Beni Mellal-Khenifra (01), Guelmim-Oued Noun (01) and Souss-Massa (01).
The number of active cases stands at 13,888, including 985 people in a critical or severe condition, the ministry said.
