A total of 20,930,915 people have received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine in Morocco, while the number of fully vaccinated people (1st and 2nd doses) has reached 17,371,392 the ministry pointed out in its daily COVID-19 bulletin.
The total number of COVID-19 cases reported since the start of the outbreak of the virus stands at 915,835, while recoveries rise to 876,600, i.e. a recovery rate of 95.7%.
The new COVID-19 cases were reported in the regions of Rabat-Sale-Kenitra (844), Casablanca-Settat (746), Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima (268), Eastern Region (168), Fez-Meknes (92), Beni Mellal-Khenifra (83), Marrakech-Safi (58), Laayoune-Sakia-El Hamra (39), Souss-Massa (39), Draa-Tafilalet (29), Guelmim-Oued Noun (23) and Dakhla-Oued Eddahab (23).
As for coronavirus-related deaths, they rose to 13,828 with 53 fatalities reported over the past 24 hours in the regions of Rabat-Sale-Kenitra (10), Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima (9), Casablanca-Settat (7), Eastern Region (6), Beni Mellal-Khenifra (5), Marrakech-Safi (5), Fez-Meknes (3), Souss-Massa (3), Guelmim-Oued Noun (3), Laayoune-Sakia El Hamra (1) and Draa-Tafilalet (1).
The number of active cases stands at 25,407 including 1,484 in a critical or severe condition, the ministry said.
