A total of 20,362,745 people have received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, while the number of fully vaccinated people (1st and 2nd doses) has reached 16,875,343 the ministry pointed out in its daily COVID-19 bulletin.

The total number of COVID-19 cases reported since the start of the outbreak of the virus stands at 908,349 while recoveries rose to 866,064 i.e. a recovery rate of 95.3%.

The new COVID-19 cases were reported in the regions of Casablanca-Settat (1,219), Rabat-Sale-Kenitra (635), Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima (261), Eastern Region (144), Fez-Meknes (114), Marrakech-Safi (107), Beni Mellal-Khenifra (89), Draa-Tafilalet (49), Souss-Massa (48), Laayoune-Sakia El Hamra (47), Dakhla-Oued Eddahab (38) and Guelmim-Oued Noun (34).

As for coronavirus-related deaths, they rose to 13,683 with 65 fatalities reported over the past 24 hours in the regions of Casablanca-Settat (16), Rabat-Sale-Kenitra (12), Eastern Region (12), Beni Mellal-Khenifra (6), Marrakech-Safi (5), Fez-Meknes (4), Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima (4), Guelmim-Oued Noun (3), Souss-Massa (2) and Draa-Tafilalet (1).

The number of active cases stands at 28,602 including 1,684 in a critical or severe condition, the ministry added.
