"Due to the increase in COVID-19 cases and in accordance with the decisions issued on Monday, August 2, by the government, the Mohammed V National Theater has decided to suspend all its activities," the Rabat-Based theatre said in a statement published on its website.
This suspension will last "until the improvement of the epidemiological situation and the return to normal life", the source added.
The government had taken a series of measures as of Tuesday, August 03, on the basis of the recommendations of the Scientific and Technical Commission, regarding the need to strengthen preventive measures to limit the spread of the pandemic and safeguard the health of citizens.
These include the national night movement ban from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., and the ban on travel to and from the cities of Casablanca, Marrakech and Agadir.
