The Mohammed V airport, which represents half of the overall passenger traffic recorded, from January to June 2021, a decrease of 73.48% compared to the same period of 2019, meaning 1,238,912 passengers against 4,670,924 passengers received during H1-2019, said ONDA in a press release.
During the period from Tuesday, June 15, 2021 (1st day of resumption of flights) until Wednesday, June 30, 2021, the Moroccan airports received 476,542 passengers through 4,704 flights (International Arrival and Departure), the same source said, adding that this traffic represents 45% of the international passenger traffic received during the same period of 2019.
In addition, ONDA said that domestic air traffic, with 652,147 passengers received during the first half of 2021, recorded a decline of around 53.68% compared to the same period in 2019.
