The CGEM, through its sectoral branches and its members, is committed to fulfilling its role with the government in the implementation of the new development model and to actively take part in the framework of participatory governance, Alj pointed out at a meeting on the presentation of the report on the new model of development.
"Hence, we will shortly set up a dedicated internal committee," he added, noting that the new model of development's vision is in line with the private sector's vision.
"We have indeed witnessed during this pandemic that when we act as part of a formalized and flexible public-private structure, innovative and ambitious decisions can be made very quickly, which have a positive impact on the entire population," Alj highlighted.
The CGEM is also committed to doubling the gross domestic product (GDP) through an average annual growth of more than 6% per year by 2035, to increase the number of exporting companies from 6,000 to 12,000, he noted.
