Covid-19: More Than 5.2 Mln Fully Vaccinated People

Rabat - A total of 336 new cases of infection with the new coronavirus and 235 recoveries have been recorded in Morocco in the past 24 hours, the health ministry said on Friday, stressing that the number of people who received the first dose of the vaccine reached 8,434,323.

There are 5,216,171 fully vaccinated people (1st and 2nd doses), the ministry said in its daily report on the Covid-19 situation.

The new cases of infection bring the total number of contaminations since the first case reported in March 2020 to 518,458, while the number of people who have recovered stands at 506,443, a recovery rate of 97.7%.

To date, the total number of deaths has risen to 9,135, after a new case recorded in Salé, a case fatality rate of 1.8%.

The new cases of contamination were identified in the regions of Casablanca-Settat (196), Rabat-Salé-Kenitra (32), Marrakech-Safi (29), Tangier-Tétouan-Al Hoceima (21), Souss-Massa (19), Dakhla-Oued Eddahab (17), Drâa-Tafilalet (07), Béni Mellal-Khénifra (04), Fez-Meknès (04), Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra (03), the eastern region (03) and Guelmim-Oued Noun (01).

Active cases are 2,880, while severe or critical cases have reached 200, including 06 placed under intubation and 92 under non-invasive ventilation.
